BASIC OPERATIONS:

The Super Rapidex Series has been designed for simple indexing in multiples of 5 degrees (5 ~ 90 degrees with the 710-004 & 104.) The actual index and locking is done in one simple motion, utilizing either the machine spindle or "index plunger" mounted to the machine spindle, cloumn or quill. A programmed movement of the CNC machine spindle depressing the "index plunger" will in-turn rotate the Super Rapidex's spindle to the desired position. Once the index is completed and the plunger is returned, a spring loaded tapered locking bar is automatically driven into the main locking gear, locating and locking the spindle with upto 1 ton of clamping force and zero backlash. For manual operations, a standard provided index handle may be mounted allowing the user to pull down the plunger and index the spindle to its desired position.
