| Abbott tooling columns, made of Tenzaloy, naturally aged to T-6 condition, provide a practical, inexpensive and lightweight means of holding work accurately in a vertical plane for NC or CNC machining operations. They can be mounted directly on the machine table or used in conjunction with a rotary table. Abbott tooling columns are available in two-, four-, six-, and eight-sided configurations built to any particular H/W/L dimension required for your application. Quantity production jobs can be set up so finished work pieces can be removed and new ones can be put in their place while the machine is working on the next piece. All surfaces can be precision-matched flat, square or parallel to within .001" per foot and supplied plain or with mounting features as desired. Precision grinding and anodizing are available for all configurations. |
