Concentric Clamping Units TANDEM Clamping System
TANDEM is the SCHUNK Concentric Clamping System that combines compact design and high clamping forces with multi-point clamping in a very small space. The clamping units are offered in pneumatic and hydraulic versions. The compact design of the clamping units is suitable for applications on "tombstones" and on machines with pallet stations.
The internal wedge hook system and high-tensile steel housing allows high clamping forces and therefore excellent results during workpiece machining. The units can be combined with various base plates and with integrated pressure maintenance valves so that they may be separated from the air supply for use on swiveling tables.
By using the TANDEM "tombstone" on a horizontal machining center, 8 workpieces may be clamped and machined. Special jaws for the customer-specific workpieces are also available.
