precision-ground, hardened steel segments radially located between synthetic rubber
separators and contained by two steel Circlips.

collet covers such a wide range.

- Unlike standard spring collets like the 5C and
16C, the segments of the multibore collet always remain parallel to the workpiece being
gripped. This especially important for oversize or undersize stock (hot rolled or
centerless ground, for example), because full collet contact is always maintained.
- Replaceable rubber separators help keep dirt
cooland, and chips from entering spindle.
- Large segments provide excellent gripping power
and prevent workpiece from twisting under heavy cutting loads.
