At the end of 1994, Heinz-Dieter Schunk, CEO of Fritz Schunk GmbH & Co. KG, Lauffen, purchased Hage Spannwerkzeuge GmbH, in Mengen. Hage represented more than 25 years of experience in engineering, design and manufacturing technology.  More than 800 different versions of chucks and cylinders were manufactured for the world market within this period of time. The H.-D. Schunk GmbH & Co. Spanntechnik KG, Mengen has formed a comprehensive program to set new standards with innovative products in the lathe chuck market.

The program is comprised of power chucks, low-cost chucks, chucks with big through bores, manual chucks, cylinders and steady rests. The program is made complete with the matching chuck jaws from the proven SCHUNK program as well as other useful accessories found in the current 108-page catalog.
