SOFT MANDRELS

FEATURES:
  • The AST I.D. Workholding System is actuated  by the machine's existing hydraulic actuator  and drawtube. The mandrel provides 360 degrees of surface contact. This will guarantee the workpiece is gripped both evenly and accurately throughout the machining operation.
  • All holding surfaces are turned on your  machine, assuring consistent mandrel concentricity with the spindle.
  • Special soft mandrels are available in a variety of sizes up to 10.00" in diameter and 8.00" in length in 1/2" increments.

  • All soft mandrels require an expansion bolt 1.00" longer than the length of the specified mandrel. Expansion bolts are available in sizes from 3.500" - 9.00" in 1/2 increment length.
